Tracey earned her J.D. at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison, Wisconsin in 1992. She graduated with a B.A. at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1988.

Attorney Tracey Wood successfully litigated United States v. Andrez Perez, 50 F. 3d 396 7th cir. (1995). Tracey's most famous trial win to date was in the federal Fort McCoy military vehicle theft case which received national media coverage and even received a nod from Jay Leno on the Tonight Show.

Recently, Attorney Tracey Wood won an outright acquittal in a case charging her client with Sexual Assault of an Unconscious Victim. A few years ago, she masterfully convinced a Winnebago County Circuit Court Judge to reverse his 10-year prison sentence of a woman for having failed to prevent a sexual assault of a child; the judge placed her client on probation.

Attorney Wood was the first ever Wisconsin attorney to be named to the Board of Regents for the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD), the Vice President for the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL), and a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association (ABA), the Dane County Bar Association (DCBA), and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). Tracey is past president of the Dane County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Attorney Tracey Wood was the first attorney ever certified as a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Instructor.
